When walking to work yesterday, around 28th and 5th, I saw a tiny dog, dressed punk-rocker-style in a black leather jacket (collar popped up, of course) and four black boots. At a dog park later that day, there was one wearing a pastel plaid jackets, similar in style to the plaidish shorts Abercrombie & Fitch made popular a few years ago.
The funny thing about both of the instances is that both of the leash-holders were men, in the second case a young Asian guy dressed quite similarly to his dog. When I see this, I'm never sure whether the man is the owner and decision-maker, or merely the significant other of a woman who does not have to take the dog out herself.
Is this really what evolution had in mind for this species?
lol, this reminds me of when scott and i were interviewing for roommates and meeting various san franciscoins and their dogs.
ReplyDeletewe rejected one girl because her (male) dog was dressed in pink and named "cupcake."
I just couldn't see myself running on the beach with this dog and having to yell "BAD CUPCAKE!" if she pulled on the leash.
if "he" pulled on the lease.
