So my computer ended up dying. Just like that, she turned a few colors and was gone. I think the hard drive is still salvageable, but as far as having a personal computer goes, I'm on a bit of hiatus right now.
Of course, we have two computers at home, but, you know, it's just not the same. I don't have my bookmarks, my files, my automatic logins, not to mention the ugly transition into Windows. And, even though I can get over all of that (as evidenced by this post), I'm leaving for New York on Tuesday, anyhow.
I just wanted to forewarn you all of the impending dry spell my blog is going to have, in addition to my probable slowness in replying to emails for the next week or two. It probably would have happened somewhat because of packing for the move, but it's a lot more certain now that I am not connected to the world as I once was.
We had four and a half good years, you know. August 13, 2002 to February 14, 2007.
I suppose all good things must come to an end.
oh, how sad.
ReplyDeletei should really think about backing up my HD....
