If you're wondering what I do

We were profiled recently by BusinessWeek. There are some factual inaccuracies/mischaracterizations, but it paints a pretty good picture..

  1. so i haven't read the entire article... but sounds pretty incredibly cool... the objective, you know?

anyway- the reason i wanted to leave this comment was to mention that i read the comments that were left by people (and many point to prejudice)... but the last one by this lady who goes on about how great America is and how the human race is better because of the US...
UMMMMMMMM.... maybe i missed something in the article that says the US gives more, does more, or whatever...
    but GLOBAL
um... global doesn't usually mean JUST the US...
vanitha tell me if her comment makes sense because of the rest of the article so i can stop thinking about how big of an idiot this person is....

  3. So, you're right in that it is a Global Philanthropists Circle, although global here means about 50% of our network is American and 50% are from other countries. I think the commenter might have been praising Peggy, who is obviously American, for starting this. And philanthropy does tend to be bigger in the US; it's been growing around the world, but the biggest philanthropists tend to be here. So her comment kind of makes sense.
