I spent much of the morning job-hunting. The internet is a great thing, isn't it? I can organize my future career while perched atop a mathematician's desk. Anyway, among the things I've done in the past few weeks to try to shorten my period of unemployment once I return to the States, I posted my resumé on Monster. (It has apparently received two views in the past week. We'll see what comes of that.) They also have a job personality test which is supposed to help you figure out what your strengths are and what you should do.
Being the desperate and confused recent college graduate that I am, I took it. Interesting results - apparently, among other things, I am primarily interested in ideas. This means I should consider a career in advertising copywriting or as a writer.
The first suggestion is particularly funny when you take into account my handywork from the other night.I was actually quite proud of it; maybe I should make a career of it.
The other suggestion I have been thinking about a lot lately. I think I'd enjoy the lifestyle, just don't know if I quite have what it takes.
Anyway, if you have any better suggestions, I'm open to hearing them. And I've started a Google Spreadsheet to keep track of everything. Exciting stuff, I know.
