Last week, I definitively decided I wanted to be a designer. Esther recommended Tisch, Monica allowed that I might have a font named after me, and after a tearful realization that my education wouldn't allow me to be an APM at Google, I made internal plans to build websites galore until the world realized my genius.
Soon after these decisions were made, I saw a listing on Idealist for the Clinton Foundation which made me think that my dream of meeting Al Gore (well, there was more to that dream, as Lisa knows, but suffice it to say that I love Raj) might be realized. Hopes were semi-dashed today when I sent in a cover letter and writing samples, only to realize I had spelled position "postion."
However, I just realized that MDRC, home of the liberal academic, would be perfect for me. Medha told me this years ago, but apparently it takes awhile for things to sink in.
I am not a stable person.
better to spell "position" as "postion" than something terrible like "definitely" as "definately"
ReplyDeleteor "position" as "penis" or something...
sorry, i'm not very helpful.
Oh Al Gore... I haven't heard you talk about him in a long time.
ReplyDeleteYour link for MDRC goes to a website entitled "Mason Dixon Rescue Dogs". Suffice it to say that I spent all of two puzzled minutes trying to figure out why exactly (with all due respect to Ebony) you so wanted this job.
ReplyDelete-m.
Oh my - as can be guessed, I had put mdrd.org, instead of mdrc.org. I fixed it. Perhaps it all makes more sense now.
