In 10 days I will have been unemployed for officially a month. This is, perhaps predictably, starting to scare me. I have kicked up the job search, but I'm not sure how focused it is. The job I can most see myself at right now is the APM job at Google, but that's taking awhile (which is supposedly a good sign).
While waiting, I decided that I want to go into design, and I have applied so far to:
- Oxford University Press - to make no money as an assistant editor
- Smart Design - to be an interaction designer, which might be out of my league
- Macy's - to be a planner - you know, to plan stuff - to drive sales and the like
- Gap - to be an analyst - to figure out what to buy and how to drive sales
Clearly, I'm doing a good job of focusing on my career aspirations to be a designer.
In other news, I've had a Javascript tutorial open in my browser for two days now. And I've decided that tags should have hierarchy.
