An interesting article about Berkeley and Asian enrollment on the campus. Although the article does not make this clear initially (and the cover graphic does not address this either), Asian is meant to include all people from Asia, including South Asians.
I suppose I should have some more commentary here, but really I was just excited to see Cal in the NY Times. The graphics have a beautiful image of the Campanile at night. God, I miss that place.
I read that, too! I was even going to send you the article but it looks like we're both rather voracious NYT readers (or, more probably, we like to look for ways to fritter away our time).

I think it's a combination of the two. At least we can hold intelligent conversations, then, even if more tangible work must go undone.
